Andrew Sachen, Double Bass
Instructor of double bass, Andrew L. Sachen, earned a Master of Music degree from the Manhattan School of Music studying with Orin O'Brien and a Bachelor's degree from Capital University studying with Dr. Mark Morton.
Currently, Andrew performs regularly in several ensembles throughout Wisconsin including the Water City Chamber Orchestra, Green Bay Symphony, Fox Valley Symphony, Sheboygan Symphony Orchestra, and also has performed concerts with the Milwaukee Ballet and Columbus Symphony Orchestra (OH). As part of the NJO Muziekzomer in the Netherlands, Andrew performed and worked with Mauricio Kagel, Etienne Siebens, Paolo Carignani, and Reinbert de Leeuw with several performances at Het Concertgebouw. In addition to other orchestral and chamber music performances, Andrew frequently performs in jazz engagements throughout Wisconsin.
Andrew Sachen joined the faculty at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in 2009 as associate lecturer of the double bass. Having previously directed both public and private K-12 string programs, Andrew also is a faculty member at both the University of Wisconsin-Fond du Lac and Lakeland College.
