April 9, 2016
The sixth annual Musica Viva! concert will be held on Saturday,
April 9, 2016 in the Arts & Communication Music Hall.
Last year the event brought in our largest crowd which helped the music student scholarship fund grow! A huge thank you to our guests who enjoyed an evening with exceptional artists and a special guest, Chancellor Andrew Leavitt for your generosity! We also recognized Wally Messner, who has given the music industry many talented music recording professionals! Chris Kuborn, host of Wisconsin Public Radio's Jazz Odyssey show, served as the evening's emcee.
Again this year you will experience an exquisite evening of contemporary and historic musical entertainment as talented faculty, students and alumni of UW Oshkosh’s music department performed a broad range of instrumental, vocal, solo and ensemble compositions. Even more than last year! Hors d’oeuvres, desserts and drinks topped off this elegant affair.
6 p.m. — Opening reception with hors d'oeuvres featuring wines and other beverages. Included with $60 pre-concert reception ticket.
7 p.m. — Performances by UW Oshkosh faculty, students and alumni
2015 Musica Viva! Program
9 p.m. — Afterglow reception with desserts and live music
The evening also included a number of silent auction of items donated by area businesses. View all of our exceptional Silent Auction donors!
Semi-formal attire was appropriate for this event.
