UberChicago's Über Horn Quartet is much more than a quartet. This exciting ensemble features FIVE of Chicago's top horn players and their passion is making the horn and its colorful sound pallette accessible and enjoyable for all audiences! Whether the concert calls for traditional classics from the quartet library or modern American composers, to jazz and beyond, Uber is equally comfortable and at ease.

When not performing as a quartet, the hornists of Über often delve into Chicago's freelance orchestral scene and are members of some of the region's top orchestras, including the Ars Viva, South Bend, Peoria, Illinois, Dubuque, and Lake Forest symphony orchestras. They have played with other well-known ensembles such as the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Milwaukee Symphony, Cleveland Orchestra, and the Elgin Symphony Orchestra. As chamber artists, Über’s members are often found performing with the Alliance Brass Quintet, Quintet Attacca, and The Millar Brass Ensemble, but if you dare peek your eyes into the pit of any number of Chicago's theaters, you just might see an Uber there, too!  Non-symphonic work includes touring with Star Wars in Concert, and bookings for Peter Gabriel, Josh Groban, Barbara Streisand, Video Games Live! and Mannheim Steamroller, among others. As devoted educators, members of the quartet hold teaching positions at North Park University, Illinois Wesleyan University, Sherwood Conservatory and The Music Institute of Chicago, and private studios throughout the Chicago area. Concerts by the Über Horn Quartet are sure to be an entertaining and fun-filled experience for audiences as they enjoy a concert that is so much more than a quartet!
