Scholarships
There are several scholarships that you may be eligible for during your Medical Technology college career. Here are just a few specifically for Medical Technology students.
Affinity Health System Scholarships:
Sophomore Level Student Scholarship
This scholarship is specifically for a sophomore level student with a Medical Technology major.
Requirements:
- Medical Technology must be the declared first major
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 and full-time student status are required
- Student is in their first semester sophomore year in the medical technology curriculum or starting second semester if not all the scholarship slots are filled during the first semester process.
Two $500 semester scholarships are awarded.
This scholarship is renewable for one semester. Renewal of the scholarship is dependent upon the student documenting their progression in the medical technology curriculum and maintaining a 3.0 GPA or greater.
Junior and Senior Level Loan Forgiveness Awards
These awards are specifically for junior and senior level students with a Medical Technology major.
Requirements:
- Medical Technology must be the declared first major
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 and full-time student status are required
One junior and one senior will be awarded tuition assistance of $5,000 each.
This award is considered a loan but shall be forgiven if:
- Upon graduation from the Program, the student applies for and accepts an available position as a medical technologist at an Affinity facility and remains employed and maintains a 1.0 FTE work schedule for a period of one year following commencement of the employment; OR
- Upon graduation from the Program, the student applies for a position as a medical technologist at an Affinity facility and a position of a 1.0 FTE is not available or not offered to the student.
Other criteria may not be listed above. Repayment of this award will be necessary if specific criteria are not met.

Professional Organization Scholarships:
There are scholarships available via professional Medical Technology organizations. Information regarding these scholarships is distributed to the junior level class.

Other scholarships not related to Medical Technology are available through Financial Aid. For more information, visit the Financial Aid office.
