Mathematics Tutor Labs
The Mathematics Department operates two free drop-in tutor labs, both located in Swart Hall.
- The Mathematics Tutoring Lab in Swart 113 is designed to assist students enrolled in Math 104, 106, 108, 110, 171, 172, 201, 204, 206, 211, 217, 273 and PBIS 189. The Swart 113 lab is coordinated by a faculty member ( Dr. Jayanthi Ganapathy - ganapath <at>uwosh.edu) and a graduate student. The tutors are students who are each assigned to tutor specific classes. (The tutors have taken those classes and earned a good grade.) The lab is staffed from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday (Fall and Spring Terms). The lab is also open at least two evenings a week. All students enrolled in the above courses are welcome! You can come with specific questions, or just come to work on your homework in a supportive place. If you have questions about the lab, please contact the Mathematics Department at (920) 424-1333.
- The Developmental Mathematics Lab in Swart Hall 303 welcomes all Math 100 Elementary Algebra and Math 103 Intermediate Algebra students.
The Developmental Mathematics Lab is staffed by graduate students in mathematics education who are supported by undergraduate tutor assistants. Each undergraduate tutor assistant has successfully completed Math 103 and was referred to become a tutor by their instructor.
Refer to the developmental math web site http://www.uwosh.edu/programs/developmentalmath/ for the Swart 303 lab hours of service.
