Idealab computer details

The lab is divided up into 2 parts. The Teaching lab and the Multi-media area.

Teaching lab

The "Teaching Lab" contains 12 workstations that run either Windows 7 or Macintosh OSX depending on your selection at boot up.

The monitors are 15 in LCD screens

Teaching lab specifics

Projector: NEC PA600X
Screen: 60" X 80"

All computers have both Windows and Mac operating systems and can be changed on a restart.

Multimedia

We have 4 workstations in the IDEA lab that are more robust than the general computers in the teaching lab. They are designed to help with the creation of more processor involved tasks such as;

  • Video / Audio Editing
  • Scanning of materials
  • Pod Casting area

This area can be used while a class is underway please be courteous as the noise from video and audio equipment can carry over. There are usb headsets available.
