Join us for four days of empowerment and inspiration for young women going into 9th through 12th grades.
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to pilot a jet aircraft, work on the International Space Station, be an air traffic controller, or fly an airplane by yourself? EAA's Women Soar You Soar girls aviation camp is the idea place for young women going into 9th through 12th grades to find out!
Now in its ninth year, this unique program introduces 100 girls to more than 35 women mentors, from engineers to fighter pilots, working in a variety of aviation and aerospace fields.
Women Soar You Soar is a four-day event, July 28–31, filled with career exploration, discovery, inspiration, and fun-including an evening event followed by an ice-cream social. Activities for this year include:
- Hands-on workshops
- Education and career exploration
- Mentor sessions.

For participants who have registered prior to June 23, 2014:
Please submit a one-page typed essay responding to either of the following two questions:
- Why do you want to attend SOAR?
- What do you hope to gain by attending SOAR?
Schedule of Activities
Young women will have the chance to participate in several hands-on activities. For a complete list of activities and descriptions, visit the EAA Women Soar You Soar website.
The program is held at EAA grounds and the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. Check-in is Monday morning at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, followed by orientation activities, dinner and recreational events. University Food Service provides all meals. EAA will provide all bus transportation from EAA to UW Oshkosh and back during the program.
Lodging and Meals
Participants stay in a supervised, double-occupancy residence hall on the UW Oshkosh campus. (Plan to bring your own towels and toiletries.) We will make every effort to comply with any roommate choice request. Qualified program staff and chaperones will provide supervision for all participants. All meals will be provided by UW Oshkosh's Blackhawk Dining Center. Meals include Monday lunch and dinner; Tuesday and Wednesday breakfast, lunch and dinner; and Thursday breakfast.
The cost for this program is $75.
