The courses in the Fundraising and Resource Development Certificate focus on the key strategies nonprofit managers must employ to raise funds for their organization. The course titles are:
- Overview and Diversifying Fund Development
- Fund Development Research
- Special Events and Fundraising
- Major Donors
- Donor Relations
- Nonprofit Communication
Each of the seven courses in this certificate require students to attend a day-long workshop from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Appleton, WI. Workshops are held on Thursdays.
The courses in the certificate are offered on a rotating calendar. Participant must start with the first course in the certificate, and all courses must be taken in sequence. To accommodate flexible scheduling needs, each course is offered more than once in the calendar year. All courses must be completed before the certificate will be awarded.
The workshops are held at the UW Oshkosh Appleton Executive Education Center, 2323 East Capitol Drive in Appleton, WI 54911.
For participants who are enrolled in the certificate program, each course is $119. The fee includes course instruction and materials, light refreshments during the workshop, and the program certificate.
Participants can also register for single sessions without enrolling in the certificate program. Course fees for non-certificate participants is $129. Non-certificate participants will earn a certificate for 0.6 Continuing Education Units for each full-day workshop they attend.
