Leadership Certificate in Fire and Emergency Response Management
This certificate serves individuals seeking management and administrative knowledge in order to improve their leadership skills within the fire and emergency management service.
This 18-credit certificate is open to all fire and emergency management personnel. The courses are offered online.
Certificate courses include:
- Leadership
- Conflict Resolution
- Emergency Planning
- Mentoring
- Personnel Administration
The certificate is designed to benefit chiefs, assistant chiefs, captains, lieutenants, firefighters, paramedics, fire instructors and fire inspectors.
FERM Certificate entrance requirements:
- Must have Firefighter 1 and Firefighter 2 AND
- At least two years of relevant work experience AND
- Approval by FERM program committee
