Paying for a college education can often be made affordable through financial aid loans, grants and scholarship opportunities.

Please visit the Financial Aid Office Web site for more information and to download the Federal Application Form for Student Aid (FAFSA).

Scholarship Search Engines

  • Broke Scholar: Online scholarship search engine that allows you to search for scholarships that apply directly to you.
  • College Board: A collection of public and private scholarships that allow you to fill out a questionnaire to match you with the appropriate scholarships.
  • Fast Web: Gives advice on applying for scholarships and provides advice on the financial aid process.
  • Scholarship Hunter: Search for academic or athletic scholarships, scholarship contests, essay awards and state awards. 
  • Student Scholarship Search: A scholarship and grant search engine.
  • NextStudent: A resource for the entire financial aid process—from applying for scholarships to paying your loans after graduation.

Adult Learner Scholarships

The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Financial Aid Office offers various scholarships to adult learners. For more information on these opportunities, please contact your advisor.

Chapter DO, Sisterhood Scholarship for Women

Amount: Varies

Applicant must:

  • Be a woman whose higher education has been interrupted and who is now actively enrolled in a degree program
  • Be a full or part-time (minimum of 6 credits per semester)
  • Demonstrate financial need

Preference will be given to Fond du Lac County residents and academic achievement will be considered.

Donald P. and Marjorie W. Cummins

Amount: $500

Applicant must:

  • Fond du Lac County resident pursuing a post-secondary training at an accredited institution of higher learning after a lapse of several years in formal education
  • Twenty-eight years of age or older
  • Demonstrate financial need

Sigma

Amount: $500

Applicant must:

  • Female, non-traditional student (student who is not going to college directly from high school)
  • Resides in Fond du Lac County
  • Be enrolled at least 9 credits per semester
  • Have minimum GPA of 2.5

Applications for scholarship opportunities are available at the Financial Aid Office, located in Dempsey Hall, Room 104.
