Orientation

Once you have your official acceptance letter we encourage you to meet with your advisor to discuss important information, such as how to:

  • Use your curriculum planning guide

  • Register for classes

  • Add or drop a class

  • Pay for classes

  • Obtain a student I.D. card

  • Access campus resources

Online Student Orientation

The Online Student Orientation has been developed to guide you through a typical LLCE online degree or certificate course, including technology requirements, the nature of a 7-week typical accelerated class, and requirements for active participation in online discussions. The orientation will also review the principles of adult learning, responsibilities for academic honesty, use of D2L, acquisition of textbooks, policies for paying bills, financial aid and much more.

Starting spring 2011, all LLCE students will be required to complete this self-administered online orientation program, which is located in D2L.  This orientation includes vital information, tools and resources which are important to your success.

If you would like to have the online orientation added to your D2L immediately, please email chasek@uwosh.edu with your name and ID number, and you'll be on your way to having information at your fingertips in one convenient place. Better yet--you can refer back to it as many times as you need, and it will be updated and available for you as long as you are a UW Oshkosh student.
