NEW Omega Kappa Honor Society for Nontraditional Students
In late August of 2009, the Division of Lifelong Learning and Community Engagement (LLCE), which houses the ANSR Office, Center for New Learning and Continuing Education, was granted a chapter of Alpha Sigma Lambda National Honor Society at UW Oshkosh!
The Alpha Sigma Lambda Web site describes the society as one that honors adult students who, along with their life responsibilities, achieve and maintain high scholastic standards. For more information on the society, visit the Alpha Sigma Lambda Web site.
For the returning adult student, the Society serves as an inspiration for scholastic growth. For UW Oshkosh, the Society serves as a vehicle for showing appreciation for adult students’ academic achievements and contributions.
This fall, more than 350 academically outstanding nontraditional students at UW Oshkosh were invited to become a member of Alpha Sigma Lambda, Omega Kappa chapter. The first annual induction ceremony will be held on Friday, Nov. 6, 2009. What an honor for nontraditional students as well as UW Oshkosh!

Are You Thinking About Dropping Out or Stopping?
Has something happened in your life that has caused you to stop attending classes or drop out? If you answer yes, please contact the ANSR office so we can help you properly withdraw.
