Erin Mischak
I received a B.A. in Comparative Literature from the University of California Santa Barbara in 2003. I earned my Master's Degree in Library and Information Science from San Jose State University in 2011.
Prior to joining the Polk Library team, I worked as a Reference and Instruction Librarian at Saddleback College in Mission Viejo, California. I also teach an online course in Information Fluency and Academic Integrity for undergraduate students at Brandman University. I serve as the Marketing and Outreach Coordinator for the Omega Chapter of Beta Phi Mu, the International Library & Information Studies Honor Society, and I am a member of the Association of College and Research Libraries and the American Library Association.
As the Distance Education Librarian here at Polk, I support distance education learners and faculty teaching distance courses, and also provide reference assistance and library instruction to on-campus students.
