Library Instruction

Consider Information Literacy Instruction for your course

While course instructors have often considered library instruction in information literacy as only relevant for freshmen and writing courses, or that “digital natives” already know how to do research, according to a 2016 study released by the Stanford History Education Group, researchers found a consistent “dismaying inability by students to reason about information they see on the Internet “from middle school to college.  Course-related information literacy instruction assists students to navigate an increasingly challenging information landscape.

UW Oshkosh Instructors can request in person and online library instruction sessions as well as asynchronous support options including Canvas modules and “embedded” librarians using our Library Instruction Request Form below.  A library instructor will contact you shortly.
