African American Newspapers, Series 1 1827-1998
African American Newspapers, 1827-1998 enables users to search more than 270 African American newspapers published in the 19th and 20th centuries. Created in partnership with the Wisconsin Historical Society, the Kansas State Historical Society and the Library of Congress, African American Newspapers chronicles a century and a half of the African American experience.

NewspaperARCHIVE.com provides access to millions of newspaper pages from the United States and other countries. The collection of newspapers includes hundreds of titles, ranging from the 1700's to the present. NOT MANY UNITED STATES PAPERS UNTIL MID 1800s. Some, not many.

The WHC was a publication that transcribed pioneer memoirs, archival records, original journals, explorers' narratives, interviews, and other eyewitness accounts of Wisconsin's past gathered between 1855-1915. It's strength is in early Wisconsin history prior to the Civil War Era.

There are many local and Wisconsin histories, Government Publications and other LIBRARY materials across the state, region and country that may be able to be borrowed from other libraries.
