Creating bibliographies in RefWorks

One of the most powerful features RefWorks offers is its ability to automatically format a bibliography in almost any style, using citations a user has automatically exported from a database, or manually entered. Watch the video or read the text and screen captions below to learn how to automatically generate a bibliography from your list of references in RefWorks.

1) From the main page of your RefWorks account, click the "Create Bibliography" button:

2) The next screen will ask you to select an output style (APA, MLA, Chicago, etc.), as well as if you'd like to insert it into a particular document, the formatted file type (MS Word or HTML), as well as the references you'd like to include in the bibliography.

3) Click the "Create Bibliography" button, located in the lower right of the screen. Please note: Make sure you have any pop-up blockers associated with your browser turned off for this step. The bibliography will appear in a new window, so to work correctly, the blocking feature must be disabled.
