Historical Advance Titans now Online
Polk Library has partnered with NewspaperArchive to make historical campus news available online. Now, more than 110 years of content from the Advance and Advance-Titan newspapers can be easily searched with keywords and dates.
University Archivist, Joshua Ranger, sees plenty of academic and administrative uses for the resource. University offices, especially the Alumni Office, now have an unprecedented level of access to stories about former students and staff, helping them to form even greater ties to the individuals who once called the University home. Students, attempting to gain a better understanding of campus history, have a convenient and accessible resource as well.

Paid for through the student technology fund, the campus newspapers are part of the larger NewspaperArchive database where researchers can search the Advance-Titan along with the Oshkosh Northwestern for more detailed coverage of campus news.
