ERIC (The Educational Resources
Information Center)
ERIC is the world's largest source of educational information. The
Department of Education is in the process of reorganizing the structure
of ERIC, and the clearinghouses which have filtered and organized a huge
body of resources in education will be shut down, to be replaced by a
centralized editing group. This move has been widely criticized, but the
DOE is going forward with its plan. At this time, the site is still enormously
useful.
