Information for Instructors
Polk Library is committed to supporting the teaching and learning needs
of all UW Oshkosh faculty and students, including those who teach and
learn off-campus. We'd love to talk with you about how we can help you
and your students get the information you need -- contact Renee Buker,
Outreach Services Librarian, at 920-424-7331 or bukerr@uwosh.edu
to find out more.
Services and Support
for Instructors:
Library Instruction
at Polk -- We'd be happy to work with your students to help them
navigate our journal databases or find good information on the Internet
more efficiently. Library instruction can be in-person at an off-campus site, via online tutorials, or in-person on campus (including evenings and weekends). Check out our library instruction page for more information
about the program.
Electronic
Reserves for Course Materials -- Polk Library can make articles, syllabi, PowerPoint files, and other course materials
available electronically to your students via eReserves. Check out Polk
Library's reserves page for more information, or contact the reserves
department at 920-424-7314 or reserves@uwosh.edu.
Library Resources for CAPP Instructors and Students -- CAPP instructors, check this page for information about the resources available to you, tips for planning a library instruction session, and a form to request a library instruction session.
IDEA
Lab -- The IDEA Lab, located in Polk 7, offers faculty support
in using multimedia in the classroom. See their site for upcoming workshops,
hardware and software available in the lab, and information on how to
contact the Media Services staff.
Specialized D2L Library Widgets -- The library can create, for your course, specialized "widgets" (those little boxes along the columns in your D2L homepage). See this screen capture for an example of a specialized D2L widget. Contact Renee Buker, Outreach Services Librarian, for more information (bukerr@uwosh.edu or x7331).
