Logging in to library resources off campus
When accessing some things from the library page, you will be asked to log in to identify yourself as a UW Oshkosh student/instructor. Click the above link for instructions.

Search for journal and newspaper articles online
Search in these to find full articles online ("full text") that you can read or print from any computer, even off-campus. Click the above link, choose a subject area, and look for the databases with a full text icon ().

How do I use Find It? ()
If the article is *not* full text in the database you're searching, click the "Find It" button to find the article. See our short, 3-minute tutorial on how Find It works. If you don't have audio on your computer, here's the text of the tutorial's audio.

Is this journal or newspaper online?
If you have a citation and want to see if the article is online, search for the journal or newspaper title to see if it's online and where to find it.

E-Reserves
Check e-reserves for online articles placed on reserve for your class.

Delivery of articles to off-campus students
Can't find it online? Polk Library will email, fax, or mail articles to students, faculty, and staff who do not regularly commute to campus. See the Delivery of Articles and Books page for details.

Does my local library have this?
If you need a journal right away, check WorldCat to see if a library in your area has the journal you are looking for (this searches college and public libraries across WI and the US). Click on the title in your results for a list of libraries near you that have a copy.

Request articles from other libraries
If the article you need is not online or at Polk Library (check the catalog), you can request it through interlibrary loan (ILLiad). Items generally take 3-5 days to arrive at Polk. **Note: you must have a TitanCard to log into ILLiad -- if you do not have one, please use the off-campus article request form instead.
