This dinner honors the courage and spirit of Harvey Milk, whose activism set an example of how crucial education is to social change. This dinner seeks to encourage and support all members and allies of the LGBTQ community at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and the greater Fox Valley region.
We are excited to award our next round of Harvey Milk scholarships at this event as well as raise additional funds for future LGBTQ student scholarships at UW Oshkosh, Fox Valley high schools, and for projects that help improve the climate for LGBTQ students in the Fox Valley K-12 system.

Our keynote speaker, Mike C. Manning, started his entertainment career at the age of 14 in the Horizon Stage's production of "And They Dance Real Slow in Jackson" and soon after "Oliver!" based on the classic Charles Dickens story. In 2009, at the age of 22, Mike joined the cast of MTV's reality television series The Real World: DC in which he came out as Christian and bisexual. Dividing his time between LGBTQ rights and the environment, Mike has been involved with numerous organizations including the Human Rights Campaign, the Energy Action Coalition, Boo2Bullying, LifeWorks, and the Thirst Project.
