Research Agenda / Areas of Interest
I don’t have a main area of research per se. Instead, my interest lies in applying, within the fitness/wellness industry, what is found through research to achieve more effective and lasting results.
Outside Interests / Hobbies
Outside of teaching, my interests lie in training & conditioning individuals as well as presenting on topics in fitness/wellness for various groups. I enjoy pursuing additional knowledge and skills via books, courses, and trainings. Additionally, I enjoy hiking/backpacking, working with horses, and tinkering in auto mechanics.
"What does it mean to be a Kinesiology faculty member at UW-Oshkosh?"
Being a part of the Kinesiology faculty is an opportunity to ensure that students are provided ample opportunity and stimulated to learn accurate and up-to-date information in a positive and engaging environment.
"When they graduate from our program, I hope that my students..."
…understand that what they learned in their undergraduate is only the tip of the iceberg. There is much more to be learned. They must not grow complacent. To be truly effective, they must build upon the foundation they created at UW-Oshkosh. They must become experts at connecting and applying both old and new knowledge and skills.
