Program Outcomes

The Athletic Training Major/Program undergoes review by the university's Committee on the Assessment of Student Learning every two years and annually by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE) in order to maintain external accreditation for the major. Both of these processes focus on the overall assessment plan for the program and require use to analyze the following information as part of our overall assessment of our program's success.

*Reasons for lack of retention are primarily decision to change major (at UWO), with a minority being academic dismissal from program

*Reasons for lack of on-time graduation are multiple, including probation, athletics participation, studying abroad, and completing graduate prerequisite coursework.

*Both Employed in Athletic Training and Admitted to Graduate School are considered to together as it is the student's choice of which to pursue. The majority of Graduate School placements include a GA position for funding, with a few of those placements in graduate programs for other allied health professions (DPT).

The UW Oshkosh Athletic Training Program is fully accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE), with our current continuing accreditation cycle during the 2018-2019 academic year.
