Academic Advising
Once students have declared a major in Kinesiology, they are assigned a faculty advisor. Students are expected to schedule a meeting with their faculty advisor each semester, approximately one week prior to their registration date.
IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT STUDENTS WITH THIS PROGRAM MEET WITH AN ADVISOR EVERY SEMESTER.
COURSES IN THE DEPARTMENT HAVE CHANGED NAME AND NUMBER. YOUR ADVISOR WILL HELP YOU CHOOSE THE CORRECT COURSE SO YOU CAN GRADUATE.
Students should bring :
an updated STAR report,
their 4-year plan (that was developed in Orientation to Kinesiology (77-122)),
and a list of courses they plan to take the following semester.
Most advising meetings take approximately 30 minutes.
Suggested 4-year plans for Kinesiology majors:
Kinesiology: no minor (only for students admitted prior to fall 2009)
Kinesiology: Exercise & Fitness Emphasis
