Mr. Maki, our head instructor, founded the UW Oshkosh Karate Club in 1992 while attending school here.

He started his training in Tang Soo Do in 1989 under Mr. Droessler with the UW Platteville Karate Club while attending the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. He then transferred to UW Oshkosh where he subsequently founded our club.


Mr. Maki is currently a 3rd Dan. He also owns the Oshkosh Karate Club here in Oshkosh, which he founded in 1995.
