Who:

Northeastern Wisconsin Scholastic Press Association (NEWSPA), an organization for the
educational advancement of high school journalism students, and the Department of Journalism
at UW-Oshkosh.

What:

Annual conference with session on diversity writing, photography, media convergence, and more. More than 50 sessions are offered at the conference.

When:

Wednesday, April 23, 2008

Where:

University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in the Reeve Memorial Union and in the Department of Journalism.

Why:

Minority students who work on a high school publication or are simply interested in journalism are welcome to participate. A diversity grant will pay the registration fee for minority students who are American Indian or Alaska native, African-American, Asian or Pacific Islander, or Hispanic. Funding also is available to help cover some of the transportation costs to the conference.

Please fill out a registration form for each minority student. The conference registration materials are sent to member schools or you can download a copy (regular PDF | electronic form PDF).
