Diversity Grant Available at High School Journalism Conference
Who:
Northeastern Wisconsin Scholastic Press Association (NEWSPA), an organization for the educational advancement of high school journalism students, and the Department of Journalism at UW Oshkosh.
What:
Annual conference with nearly 50 sessions on writing, photography, media convergence, and more.
When:

UW Oshkosh in the Reeve Memorial Union and Swart Hall
Why:
Minority students who work on a high school publication or are simply interested in journalism are welcome to participate. Until funds are depleted, a diversity grant will pay the registration fee for two minority students who are American Indian or Alaska native, African-American, Asian or Pacific Islander, or Hispanic from each school. The grant will also pay for one minority adviser from each school.
