Jean Giovanetti has a master’s degree in journalism from The Ohio State University, a BS and BA in economics from Miami University, teaching experience at two accredited universities, and more than 15 years experience working in public relations.
She has taught Public Relations Techniques and Writing for the Media at UW Oshkosh. Prior to teaching at UW Oshkosh, she taught Introduction to News Writing, Journalism Techniques for Nonmajors and Introduction to Public Relations at Bowling Green State University.
She received eight awards from Ohio State Extension for teaching and outreach efforts throughout a 19-county area while working as a communications associate. As Editor of Development Communications at OSU, she was heavily involved with the strategic launch of a five-year fundraising campaign that went on to raise more than $1 billion.
Outside of public relations, she worked for four years as a freelance reporter and humor columnist for the Sentinel-Tribune in Bowling Green, Ohio.
