Grace Lim is an adjunct professor in the writing/editing emphasis for the Department of Journalism at UW Oshkosh.
Lim has interviewed federal lawmakers to Hollywood stars. She has covered natural disasters (floods, earthquakes and hurricanes) and man-made ones (airplane crashes, multiple homicides and high-profile divorces). She’s been a staff reporter for The Miami Herald and the Austin American-Statesman covering crime, education and business.
During one nutty year working as a staff reporter for The Star (yes, the supermarket tabloid), Lim traveled to 30 states, tagged Liz Taylor to Acapulco and secured the worldwide exclusive story from Charles Manson’s biological son. Prior to moving to Oshkosh in 2002, she was a staff correspondent for People magazine’s Miami bureau and editor of a general interest online magazine overseeing bureaus in Miami, New York, Chicago and Los Angeles.
Lim has a journalism degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a master’s degree from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism.
