Request a Private Course

Private courses offer the security of knowing that your materials will only be viewed by your students, and can only be accessed by students through a widget in the course D2L page. Private courses generally cause more problems with student access. Private courses allow instructors to place materials that may be in copywrite gray area, IE items that may fall under fair use provisions for classroom use.

Fill out the form below if you know what podcasting options you'd like, or send email to Sean Ruppert to set up an appointment to discuss your options and obtain a demonstration.

Please don't submit incomplete forms. All of the information below is needed to build your course in iTunes.

Setup Options

Please choose one or more of the distribution options below

Add to iTunesU?

Your course can be added to the UW Oshkosh iTunesU Store. This gives your students easy tools for subscribing and automating the download of your materials.

iTunesU Recording Security
This course will be created as a private course. This means that the only way it can be accessed is via the link in the right D2L sidebar.

Create a Blog?

Creating a blog now will make it easier to make your course public at a later date should you choose.

A blog on the podcasting server will allow your students to access the materials in your course without having to go through d2l to get to your course materials. It also removes the need for your students to install and learn how to use iTunes.

A blog will also allow you to embed the feed of your course into the D2L content area. You will be provded with a single password that you may distribute to your students so they may access the blog without having to go through iTunes and D2L to view course content.

Would you like to be trained to podcast from the Macintosh or Windows OS?

Mac

Windows (there may be a delay at the beginning of the semester in deploying our Windows recording solution)
