Chief Information Officer
The Chief Information Officer (CIO) provides vision, leadership, and coordination for a comprehensive information technology (IT) environment including academic and applications computing, network services, telecommunications, learning technologies, and distance education support services.
Anne Milkovich is Chief Information Officer at UW Oshkosh. She reports to the Vice Chancellor for Administrative Services and serves as the IT liaison with other senior level administrators. The CIO works closely with the University's faculty, academic deans, and other unit directors and budget managers on various technological issues impacting the delivery of instructional services or other administrative-support efforts. The CIO receives input from several campus committees including the Faculty Senate's Committee on Library and Information Services and the Academic Computing Users Group (ACUG).
In these capacities, the CIO is responsible for the delivery of essential IT services that directly support instruction, research, and institutional management.
The CIO is a member of the UW System Council of Chief Information Officers. As a member of this Council, the CIO serves as a liaison between the campus and UW System. The CIO Council provides long-range strategic planning for UW System, including development of the annual UW System IT Plan.
