Dr. Westort earned his B.A. from Saint Francis Xavier University in Antigonish Nova Scotia, Canada and his M.B.A. from the University of Southern Maine. His Ph.D. is from the University of Oregon. Dr. Westort is a certified Public Accountant and a former Internal Revenue Service Revenue Agent. In addition to being in Public Accounting for several years, he has taught at the University of Sourthern Maine, the University of Maine at Augusta, Clarkson University in Potsdam, New York, the University of Massachusetts Boston, and Berry College in Rome, Georgia. His research interests are in tax policy and the fairness of the federal income tax system.
