International Film Series books, promotes, and screens films that are not normally accessible to UW Oshkosh students. This includes foreign films, independent films, silent films, and classic Hollywood movies.
The International Film Series of UW-Oshkosh is designed to develop an appreciation of various film techniques and styles, promote an understanding of other cultures, and use international cinema as a vehicle to foster a sense of community and dialogue. Members of IFS strive to provide a learning environment for students interested in the business side of film making. Every student is welcome to join!
Films are usually screened on Wednesdays at 7p in the theater on the third floor of Reeve Memorial Union (room 307). Admission is free to UW Oshkosh students and costs $1.00 per person of the general public. Fresh popcorn is free for all those who attend.
Reeve Memorial Union is located at 748 Algoma Boulevard, Oshkosh, WI.
Meetings for International Film Series will be held on Thursdays at 7p in the Arts and Communication building room S147 on the University of WI - Oshkosh.
