Requirements (Degree/Experience):

  • MSW with a minimum of two years post-MSW professional social work practice.
  • The DSW or Ph.D. in social work (or a related field) or significant senior level faculty experience.
  • Potential for excellence in teaching and scholarly work.
  • Commitment to undergraduate education for generalist practice and willingness to teach in both MSW and BSW programs.
  • Demonstrated evidence of collaborative work with community partners.
  • Experience with diverse groups.

Responsibilities:

  • Teaching some combination of at least two of the following curriculum areas: generalist practice, human behavior, social policy, research, and field practicum with some student advisement in either the MSW or BSW program.
  • Engage in creative and collaborative curriculum planning with social work colleagues and colleagues in the liberal arts.
  • Contribute to published professional knowledge base.
  • Provide service to the profession, the community, and the university.
