Assistant Professor of Music - Applied Flute - 073b.0809Department: Music Requirements (Degree/Experience): Doctorate in flute required or expected by September 2009. Evidence of successful teaching experience in applied flute and music theory and/or keyboard harmony & aural skills at the undergraduate level expected. Evidence of professional-level flute performance expected. Evidence of potential for significant scholarly and/or creative achievement necessary. Responsibilities: Teach studio flute. Other assignments will be in music theory and/or keyboard harmony & aural skills. Additional classroom teaching may be assigned based on candidate's strengths and department needs. Continued professional development, active student recruitment, and student advising expected.
