Tenure Track Assistant Professor- 077a.0708 Department: Kinesiology and Health Responsibilities: Teaching responsibilities will be undergraduate exercise science including courses in physiology of exercise, nutrition, and fitness assessment techniques. Advising students, committee membership and contributing to the profession through published research and other scholarly activity are expected. Requirements (Degree/Experience): Doctorate in the field of Exercise Science is required. Successful candidate will have experience teaching in kinesiology and the potential for establishing a record of professional and scholarly activity. Competence required in the following areas: teaching physiology of exercise, nutrition and fitness assessment techniques. Additional teaching responsibilities may include research techniques, strength and conditioning, and/or wellness promotion courses. Certification through the ASCM is required. Preferences:The department is working toward converting the Exercise Science and Health Promotion emphasis to a major along with pursuing CAAHEP accreditation. Experience with one or both of these processes is preferred.
