Assistant/Associate Professor of Educational Technology - 111c.0809

Requirements (Degree/Experience):

The qualified candidate will have an earned doctorate by the time of appointment in Educational Technology (or a closely related field); experience in teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in technology and curriculum integration; 3 years recent experience as a teacher in pK-12 classrooms; experience with use of Web 2.0 technologies in the classroom setting; an active research agenda involving technology integration in pK-12 settings; and a demonstrated ability to work well with diverse constituencies both internal and external to the college and university.

Responsibilities:

Teach required undergraduate courses focused on the integration of technology in pK-12 curriculum and instruction as well as graduate courses in hypermedia and multimedia applications and their pedagogical use; support the mission of the University, College and Educational Leadership program through teaching, collaboration and research; provide leadership within the College of Education and Human Services on Web 2.0 technologies and web-based courses; assist faculty in the thoughtful application of technologies in their courses.

Preferences:

Experience developing innovative undergraduate courses in educational technology; experience administering a pK-12 educational technology program; a Technology Specialist Certification or experience with technology specialist certification programs; proven record of writing and securing external grants; and three years experience at the Assistant Professor rank.
