Associate Dean - 111h.0708(Click on the above link for position description). Department: College of Education & Human Services Requirements (Degree/Experience): The person appointed should have the record and qualifications consistent with the rank of tenured associate or full professor in an academic unit of the College; and must have demonstrated administrative experience; effective interpersonal, communication and organizational skills; experience in Department of Public Instruction accreditation and program review; an understanding of, and respect, for shared governance; interest in program development; commitment to collaboration with private and public K-12 school districts, community agencies, and University of Wisconsin System campuses; interest in, and experience, wtih diversity initiatives; knowledge of and competency with technology; and familiarity with grantfunding sources and services. Responsibilities: Associate Dean has responsibilities as assigned, including program planning, national and state accreditations, program evaluations, data management, graduate assistant allocation, and student appeals. The Associate Dean serves as the College representative in the absence of the Dean. The Associate Dean assists in providing leadership to the College which employs approximately 108 faculty and academic staff and is organized into seven departments - Counselor Education, Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Foundations, Human Services and Educational Leadership, Human Kinetics and Health Education, Reading Education and Special Education.
