Assistant Professor of Music - Applied Trombone/Music in General Studies - 073a.0910

Requirements (Degree/Experience):
Doctorate in trombone required or expected by September, 2010. Evidence of successful teaching experience in applied trombone and euphonium at the undergraduate level expected. Evidence of potential for significant scholarly and/or creative achievement necessary.

Responsibilities:
Teach studio trombone and euphonium; teach music courses in the General Education curriculum. Additional classroom teaching may be assigned based on the candidate's strengths and department needs. Continued professional development, active student recruitment and student advising expected.

Preferences:
Evidence of successful classroom teaching in music literature, music appreciation, and/or American music history at the undergraduate level preferred.
