Responsibilities:
The position of Associate Dean of Auxiliary Programming in the College of Letters and Science will assist the Dean in providing leadership and guidance for auxiliary programs in the College. The Associate Dean will hold a nine-month limited term appointment in the Dean's Office while maintaining a concurrent tenured faculty assignment in a home department. The position includes one-month summer support. The Associate Dean will teach one class per semester, and will provide liaison between the Dean's Office and the College's auxiliary programs, and direction to the Cooperative Academic Partnership Program (CAPP). This will include, but not be limited to, outreach activities and development, making recommendations concerning staffing, personnel decisions, strategic planning and program development. Additional responsibilities include oversight of related curriculum and projects as assigned by the Dean.
Requirements (Degree/Experience):
The qualified candidate will be tenured at the rank of associate professor or professor in the College of Letters and Science. (This is an internal search.)

Terms of Appointment:
One year contract: nine-month academic year with 7.5% summer stipend; potential for release time in Fall 2009 to allow for transition.
