Department:  Communication (Radio/TV/Film)

Position Title:  Assistant Professor in Media Management

Responsibilities:  The Radio/TV/Film Area of the Department of Communication at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Media Management. The candidate will teach classes in the newly revised curriculum that includes Intro to Media Business, Media Leadership, and Audience Research, and the development of a capstone course in this area.  Primary responsibilities include:  teaching a mix of lower and upper level courses; advising majors; conducting research/creative activities and service.  The candidate will also have the opportunity to create upper-level courses in his/her area of specialization.

Requirements:  PhD or MFA in relevant field (ABD considered) or MBA in Media Management of MA/MS with substantial professional experience.

Preferences:  A candidate with management and grant writing experience, and knowledge of both traditional and non-traditional media.  Evidence of teaching effectiveness is desirable.

Salary:  $45,000

Hours:  fulltime, Monday through Friday; 40 hours/week
