Instructional Specialist for the College of Nursing - 008a.1415


College of Nursing


Assist nursing professors with activities that are related to teaching and/or scholarly endeavors.

  1. Completing duties related to teaching assigned by the professor which may include, but are not limited to:
    a. Reviewing papers for grammar, spelling, and overall APA format.
    b. Reviewing discussion posts for adherence to posting criteria such as meeting deadlines and number of posts per week. This individual is not reviewing for content nor awarding grades in classes that are for-credit.
  2. Completing duties related to scholarship as assigned by the professor, which may include, but are not limited to:
    a. Doing background or Internet searches to support a project.
    b. Compiling databases, spreadsheets, etc. as directed. 
    c. Assisting with data analysis.
    d. Assisting with developing a presentation (PowerPoint, podcast, poster, etc.).
  3. Promote the mission, vision, values, and strategic goals of the University and the CON.
  4. Other duties as assigned.


Master's degree with preference given to education/related field or nursing.

Terms of Appointment

PT - Academic Year (9 month appointment), with possible additional PT summer appointment
