Responsibilities

The Curriculum & Instruction department seeks a full-time Instructional Academic Staff (ad hoc) instructor with expertise in Mathematics Education. The candidate will teach the undergraduate mathematics courses and may also supervise teacher candidates in various field placements. The candidate may also teach Graduate courses within the department.

Requirements

Masters degree or higher in Curriculum & Instruction or Mathematics Education or related educational field; minimum of 3 years experience at the K-12 level in teaching, pupil services, or administration.

Preferences

Preference will be given to applicants with a Ph.D in Curriculum & Instruction or Mathematics Education or related educational field; minimum of 3 years experience teaching full-time, or as an ad hoc faculty in a college setting; minimum of 2 years experience as a cooperating teacher in K-12 education; holds a Wisconsin teaching license; familiarity with Wisconsin DPI and PI 34 requirements, or familiarity with Wisconsin Common Core State Standards for mathematics, and NCTM standards; K-5 teaching experience.
