The Catastrophic Leave Program is available to help support employees who need to take an extended, unpaid leave of absence from work due to an illness or injury that either incapacitates the employee or the employee’s immediate family member. It allows University employees to voluntarily donate unused vacation, sabbatical/ALRA or personal/floating holidays to co-workers.
Eligible employees that wish to request assistance need to complete the Employee Request for Catastrophic Leave and submit to Human Resources.
To donate employees must complete the Catastrophic Leave Donor Application.
