Film Presentation: Passing Strange
Passing Strange, a vibrant, complex, and electrifying musical that explores issues of race, identity, artistic expression, family, and community, was written and composed by Stew. After it was filmed by director Spike Lee during its last few days on Broadway, it won--and continues to win--a whole different audience.
The film will be introduced by Dr. Don Dingledine and Dr. Alan Lareau.
Passing Strange is being shown in anticipation of guest artist Stew's campus engagement on Thursday, October 17, at 7:00 in Reeve 227BC, where he will present "Art: Luxury or Necessity?"
Both events are free and open to the public.
