Political Science 107: Honors Introduction to Comparative Politics (SS)(XS)(NW) (3 Credits)

  • Prerequisite: Must be enrolled in good standing in the UHP with prior or concurrent enrollment in HNRS 175.

This course provides an introduction to key concepts and issues in comparative politics. Major themes include political participation and institutions, role of government, political parties, democratization, development, political culture, nationalism, and ethnic conflict. Comparative cases of countries from Europe, Asia, the Americas, and Africa illustrate basic analytical tools and concepts.
