Do you have test anxiety? A representative from the Counseling Center will hold a workshop with University Honors Program students and their friends from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 3, in Oviatt House. All are welcome to the Fall 2014 Honors Thesis Symposia, which will take place December 1, 2, and 3 beginning at 4:00 p.m. each day. Your presence and support of these seniors as they complete this final UHP requirement--their Honors Senior Capstone--is much appreciated. Attend one session or all! Please see the schedule for a full listing:
Good news! Beginning next year, the Honors Senior Seminar (HNRS 475), which was previously offered only in spring, will be available in fall as well. As the UHP continues to grow and as more students successfully complete the Honors curriculum, we are happy to offer another option (and more flexibility) for the Honors Senior Capstone. Juniors and Seniors, please take note! In hopes that we can continue to meet demand, in fall 2015 Dr. John Lemberger will teach the first-ever fall Honors Senior Seminar (HNRS 475: "Poverty") on T & Th 6:00-7:30pm.
The University Honors Student Association is stocking up for its ongoing book drive to benefit Better World Books. Thanks to recent efforts, reports Liz Taylor, TWELVE cartons of books are now on their way. Do you have books you'd like to donate? We'd love to take them off your hands:
The University Honors Student Association invites you--and your friends--to the next Pizza with Professors on Thursday, October 16, at 5:00 in Oviatt House. Professor Mode (Department of Geology) will be this semester's special guest! GEOL 110, which Dr. Mode has taught for more than ten years, remains one of the UHP's most challenging yet popular courses offered.
