A Welcome from the Director
Welcome to the website of the University Honors Program (UHP) at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. Here you will find information about the Program, and the many opportunities it affords our highly motivated students.
The student-faculty relationship is at the center of our mission. The UHP fosters a community in which high-achieving students can experience the best educational practices: small discussion-based classes, unique team-taught classes, a low student-faculty ratio, opportunities for collaborative research, numerous co-curricular opportunities, and much more. Our graduates are routinely hired by employers or accepted by the professional and graduate programs of their choice.
It is important to note that the UHP is not an AP program of the sort one finds in high schools. The emphasis is not on assigning extra work or extra classes needed for graduation, but is on providing special opportunities for our high-achieving students.
I invite you to navigate our website and see the many ways in which we carry out our dedication to student success. I invite you also to come visit the Program at the heart of campus in Dempsey 146. If you have any questions about the website, or about the Program, please do not hesitate to contact us.
