- Official recognition of new scholarships: Dave Engels Journalism Scholarship and Orville C. Sherman Journalism Scholarship
- Overview of new facilities and future plans for the department
- Announcement of new alumni committee to head fundraising for the Journalism Fund and scholarships
10 a.m., Historical Marker Dedication: First Kindergarten at a Public Normal School, Swart Hall lobby.
- The historical marker also recognizes the unique educational experience that the laboratory school afforded area schoolchildren and the opportunity provided to teachers-in-training to hone their newly learned instructional skills under faculty supervision.

11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m., Pregame Celebration at Tent City, new location this year on Josslyn Street closer to the Oshkosh Sports Complex behind the UW Oshkosh softball field.
