How To Stop Sexual Violence
Sexual Assault Definition
Sexual Assault is any unwanted touching, fondling, groping of sexual body parts or penetration (oral, digital, vaginal, anal).
How You Can Stop Sexual Violence
Make it your mission to get permission! Each partner needs to make a mutual agreement to become intimate.
- An intoxicated "yes" isn't considered consent.
- It's not up to ONE person to be intimate or not. You can change your mind.
- "You can't undress, unless you hear yes."
- Be honest when communicating your feelings.
Be aware when you or a friend is being fed alcohol.
Don't leave friends behind. Always stay together.
Don't leave an intoxicated person alone or with another person.
Tell a victim it was not his/her fault. No one deserves to be the victim of a crime.
Listen to victims and connect them with community resources (medical, emotional, legal).
